Does anyone know what this plant is? Is it a type of boxwood or ilex?

    Thanks.

Box Buxus - note the leaves are opposite. In Holly Ilex, the leaves are alternate.

Probably one of the Asian species. Try looking for a match at an independent garden center.

There are many kinds, I would not jump on a name unless you are sure the plants are exactly the same.
