I have 2 huge outdoor boston ferns and I need information on transferring them indoors before the cold weather comes. They are hanging plants and I will probably put them in plant stands. Do they need special fertilizer? Do I spray them for bugs?

granted i am in a much warmer climate than you,i have many in my yard in ground and hanging.and some growing in frond bases in my cabbage palm with no soil.i have moved them at many different times throughout the year and they thrived in all places out side direct sunlight.all my hangers i put a little fertilizer on once a year and they only get watered when it rains.which is quite often.basically what i am saying they should do fine, just so they get some sun light.and i would water after soil gets dry.the only time any of mine have seen indoors is when the hurricanes came through in 2004,3 hit me head on in three weeks,so they were in my garage with little or no sunlight for that time.this didnt seem to bother them at all.they are wonderful plants that need little care.you should be fine, especially since they are well established in there pots.
