Well, to begin with you should join the International Aroid Society, who will send you their quarterly magazine Aroideana. This is always full of good stuff.

    For print books:
"Plants of the Arum Family" by Deni Brown - this is pretty much the Aroid bible; there's more than Anthurium in there, but the section on that genus is exhaustive.
"The Genera of Araceae" by SJ Mayo, S Bogner, and PC Boyce

In addition to the two books recommended by Lorax I highly recommend three texts: Annals of the Missouri Botanical Garden,Volume 78, #3, A Revision of Anthurium Section Pachyneurium (Araceae), Monographs in the Systematic Botany from the Missouri Botanical Gardens, A Revision of the Genus Anthurium (Araceae) of Mexico and Central America Part I: Mexico and Middle America, and Monographs in the Systematic Botany from the Missouri Botanical Gardens, A Revision of the Genus Anthurium (Araceae) of Mexico and Central America Part II: Panama. All are written by aroid botanist Dr. Thomas B. Croat, PhD, P.A. Schulze Curator of Botany of the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, MO. Any can be ordered for approximately $20.00 each plus shipping from the Missouri Botanical Garden Press. Although somewhat technical all the terms used can easily be understood by looking them up on the internet or in a good dictionary. All the books include excellent photographs of wild specimens as well as all the details to make a species' determination.

In addition, Dr. Croat is currently working on The Flora of Ecuador which will include many Anthurium and aroid species not previously known to science or to collectors. No publication date is available at this time.
