    Hello,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a resource book with information on:
    - plant pruning, particularly fruit trees and berry bushes
    - plant propagation from cuttings, including propagating native plants such as red osier dogwood
    - emphasis on local (south-west bc) vancouver and area

If anyone could recommend a book that covers these topics, i'd greatly appreciate it.
There's so much out there - it's hard for a beginner to choose the best resource.

    thanks!
    jen

The best place I've found to buy books on plants is the UBC Botanical Garden Shop. The topics you're after are not so specialized that you need to be looking for a particular book, however, nor even go that far afield. The info is not more or less valid to a certain geographic area, at least not beyond the relevance of frost and heat.

Any nursery will actually carry the expert series by DG Hessayon. The Tree and Shrub Expert should cover your topics, or maybe he has one out on Fruits particularly.
