Given the fact that beeches grow slowly, and that I may not be living in my current home for more than 10 years, I would like to know: Can I create bonsai with the one year old (in the spring) Fagus sylvaticus that I potted up in May? I started another with a seedling from the same mature tree three seasons ago, and it is now about 2 feet tall (and very leggy), still in a pot because I don't have anywhere to plant it. You can tell, I don't know much about trees, but I do love my beeches. KH
