I bought a little fig a little while ago, a small or narrow leaf fig I think, and I bought a few bonsai pots too. When I first got it home I put it straight in its bonsai pot, which is about 4 or 5 cm high. I'm wondering whether this was the right thing to do, the fig hadn't been trained at all and is about 10-15cm high. Should a buy a cheap pot that is bigger to allow it to grow, it is pretty young? Or should I leave it as it is? Thanks. Damien.
