I collected one specimen of what I thought was Boletus edulis, but after cutting it, I would say it is not because it bruises when cut. The photos show before and after cutting 10 minutes apart, though most of the bruising occurred in the first minute or 2. Bruise colors ranged from green, blue, dark grey.

Everything about this specimen except this bruising is identical to B. edulis.

    What is this?

This is a Leccinum. I am not sure which species, but habitat can yield a clue.

Leccinum fibrillosum had occurred to me but I had, perhaps mistakenly ruled it out, because the base of this specimen is bulbous.
    L. insigne is very common here, but this is not one of them. I've found L. fibrillosum/L. subalpinum before, but rarely.

Nope, it is not any of the Leccinum you listed, nor one that I am familiar with.
