This is our Blushing Belle Magnolia that we planted a couple of years ago. Think it's a cross of the Caerhays Belle. While the magnolia is still small (much smaller than our other saucer magnolia), the blooms are actually quite large with flowing tepals and the fragrance from this is amazing... like a soft, floral baby powder. There's still a few blooms left but most have fallen since last week.
Not a saucer magnolia which is M. denudata x M. liliiflora. Whereas this one is a little more complex being derived from 'Yellow Bird' x 'Caerhays Belle'.
Yes. Sorry for the confusion. This isn't a saucer. I meant this magnolia is much smaller than our other magnolia, which happens to be a saucer mag. While our saucer magnolia is also fragrant, it's not nearly as nice of a fragrance as the blushing belle.
