Blue pom poms...

    Hello:

    This photo was taken in the garden at Point Atkinson Lighthouse in Lighthouse Park this past September. Does anyone have any idea what these flowers are?

    Sorry, but I wouldn't have a clue, but they are quite nice. I don't think there are as many blue flowers as other colours in the plant world. I love blue flowers, so I will be interested in the id...

    Can't see the leaves, but it's probably an Ageratum houstonianum.

    what a fabulous flower...have no idea..maybe some kind of aster? I will be interested also.

    Oh, you guys are scary good. Yes, I can confirm from Googling "Ageratum houstonianum" this is the plant, though which blue it is I can't surmise: Blue Bouquet, High Tide Blue, Leilani Blue? Think it might be Blue Bouquet.
