Hello everyone I have a cedrus atlantica glauca (Blue atlas cedar) and I’m in a zone 9b and it’s starting to drop a lot needles and a lot of needles are turning brown.... there is also some sort of sap running off the trunk of tree any suggestions???
So I ended up having a couple Arborist come by my house and inspect the tree and they said it was due to lack of water.... I’ve been doing a 24hr soak once a week for one month and she said after the second month do a 24hr soak every two weeks. It’s onlt been three weeks and already starting to see a little bit of new growth I’ll keep everyone updated.
Been forgetting to look in for a while . . . This looks like it could be Sirococcus blight, a new fungal disease affecting cedars: Cedar (Cedrus spp.)-Needle Blight Tree diseases - Sirococcus blight
