Our Blue Atlas Cedar tips are turning brown. Early in the spring it was slow to bloom but started to fill out. In the last two weeks the tips are turning brown and no signs of new growth. Trying to diagnose the problem, blight, spider mites? Any help is appreciated I would hate to lose this focal point in our landscaping.

Atlas Cedar (not 'Alaska'; I've stepped in as moderator to correct the title ;-).

Looks like a fungal needle-cast disease.

Thank you Michael for the correction. Would you have suggestions on how to treat this disease.

Look for fungicides which are recommended for needlecast diseases of conifers. Sorry, I can't really help as the regulations and availability for you won't be the same as on this side of the Atlantic.
