    Need your help please!
I recently purchased a very small Arctostaphylos uva-ursi. When I purchased it, it had a few black spots on the leaves, not thinking too much about it at the time. Now, the black spots have increased. Could anyone advise what is the cause?
I've only had this plant in my possession for 2 weeks. I soaked the roots & let drain before planting so the roots are not sitting in water. Any other thoughts?

    With appreciation.

This is a frequently seen problem in this region. As your specimen is now mostly discolored it may not be going to pull through. If wanting to try again look for the cultivar suggested at the link, plant in a full sun position with good drainage.

In future discontinue soaking roots before planting, of this and all other subjects - unless the root balls or masses have become dried out. Once these stop bubbling remove them from the water promptly.
