I have Two huge black walnut trees in my yard, I am wondering what types of annuals and perrenials I can plant around/near these tress that will survive the acidic soil. I live in zone 5. Thank you

If you want to double your nuts, you could go with hazelnuts (Corylus avellana) or filberts (Corylus maxima) as perennials around the walnut. I've always found that they tolerate acidic soils well.
