Black Walnut, Tree of Heaven, or something else?

    I can't determine the species of this tree. I thought the leaves initially looked like those of a black walnut, but unlike other black walnuts I have seen, it didn't have that distinct smell. Plus, as you can see in one of the pictures, the branches are oppositely arranged (which I'm pretty sure doesn't happen with black walnuts). So then I thought it might be Tree of Heaven, but that musty smell is even MORE distinct and it didn't smell like that at all. Any guidance on what you think it might be would be very helpful.

    I'm in Blair, NE, on the line in between USDA zones 4b and 5a.

    The length scale in two of the following pictures is in inches.

    The amount of leaflets threw me off. I had always seen White Ash trees with just 5 -7 leaflets. I think that's the best guess for it though, because we know it has opposite branching.
