    Hello
I purchased this White/Pink Flowering Crape Myrtle (Burgundy Cotton) yesterday. After coming home I noticed that most of its leaves have black spots on the bottom of the leaves. The leaves are dark green in color and spots are black/brown colored. If I see from bottom up then I can see many spots. I was reading online and saw that "Cercospora leaf spot" could be a possibility. All leaves are green and at this time I do not see any yellow leaves. I also do not see any dead spots on the leaves yet.
    - Should I concerned about the spots?
    - Will they go away on its own once I plant in full sun?
    - Does the tree need some chemical treatment?
    - Should I just return the tree (even though I prefer white/pink color over rest) and get a different kind (like Catawba, I hear it is maintenance free and less susceptible)

Would appreciate any advise you could provide. Thx acrlvr

Hi there, Sounded like are being infested by other plants that is nearby when you bought it. When buying plant at Lowe's,Wal-Mart, other places. They sometime get careless, over -under watering, over crowding plants as spaces needing. You would need to fungicide the plants, spray under neath the leave, I have use baking soda/ivory or Wesson corn oil mix water in spray bottle. Which it works on some of my Crape Myrtle. But still have to buy fungicide as for some other pest and may other diseases. Now a day new adventure coming along from Hard sun ray to new mix of pest- bugs (ants, beetles, spider, white fly, etc).
