black spots on grapes

I have had good luck with my grape harvest over the pasta eight years. However, last year and this year 2008 the grapes have been getting black spots which ultimately destroy the entire grape crop. The end results in the grape drying up like a raisin on the vine. Can you let me know what is causing this.
