    Hello,

I live in North Delta and I have a grape for 4 years. This year the first time it has 10+ clusters of grape and looks healthy. Today I noticed it start having black spots on the grape. I recall last year my grape is all rotted start kind like this. So I did some search online. I think it maybe the black rot disease but not sure. I attached a picture here to ask help.

What should I do know? Spray something? Can someone give me a suggestion please?

Also how to prevent this happen in the future?

    Thanks a lot.

    hello
do you know what type of grape you have?
how old is it? did you plant it?

is there any "damage" to any other part of the plant (leaves, vines, etc)

what is your final use for this grape (table fresh / jelly / juice / wine, etc)

have you tasted one so far this season to gauge ripening process?

if you're making cooked jelly or other preserves with sugar - and then process properly - I don't think a few black spots will hurt. I go and pick my neighbor's grapes often (old concords) - and for sure the bears, the birds and wasps, some deer ... and some grandchildren have already enjoyed the crop!

(i'd sooner have a few spots than spray fruit you're going to eat - make sure you read the label if you do spray or otherwise treat - and wait the correct amount of time before harvest and consumption)

I got this grape from my friend and we don't know what kind of grape it is. It is 4 years old. Last year it was the first time we had grapes but all rotted. This year the weather is so good and the grape start those black dots so I am worry about it will rot again.

The grape it table grape and right now it taste not very sweet yet. The leaves and vine looks healthy.

I haven't spray anything on it yet. I went to a garden store and consult a lady there. She told me I should put some Dormant spray in winter time to prevent fungus. She also told me some sulphur spray may helps.

i wonder if the wasps have stung your grapes looking for sweet juice etc.

what condition are the leaves on this vine in? (mildew, other damage?)

Have you checked what is under the black spot inside of the fruit?
