Hi I am looking for a little info. on black seedless grapes. 3 years ago I purchased a grape vine at a small roadside nursery. It was labelled "black seedless grape". This is the first year that it is producing grapes on the arbour that I made on a west facing wall. I have many bunches of grapes, but the grapes themselves are only the size of large peas and they are still green. I am wondering if they will continue to grow and get bigger, or is it too late in the season for them to continue to grow? Second question, should I prune off some of the leaves now to let the light get to them. Thanks.

Some varieties around here will continue ripening into October. "Jupiter" ripens consistently in Washington State, but if I was selling Jupiter grapes, I'd label them "Jupiter", not "black seedless grape". Unles it's exceptionally vegitative (30+ leaves per bunch) I suggest leaving it this year and give it a chance to show you what it can do.

Any chance of asking the nursery what it really is and where it's from?

Thanks Ralph. I did ask the nursery owner questions about the grape and he said he didn't know and that the grape variety had come from his mother's garden.
