I have an apple tree that produces well, but the majority of the apples have in the interior of the apple ,especially the core, a black rotted area. The rot seems to start on the outside especially at the opposit end of the stem. Any info on treatment would be appreciated. Thank you, Bert
Its probably Bitter pit. http://www.agf.gov.bc.ca/cropprot/tfipm/calcium.htm Its quite a common disease. Some varieties are more prone than others. Fuji and Honeycrisp can have probems with this. Cheers
