I have a somewhat small ponytail on my desk at work (I named her Phyllis, after Phyllis Diller!) It loves being here, as it has produced many new leaves, and they have all grown over a foot. Great plant... I noticed this morning that there is a split near the base of the trunk (about an inch long), and it is turning black inside. It gives a little under pressure. Is this an overwatering problem? Will she heal herself? Anything I should try to do to cure it? Thanks!
