I see Morus nigra, Black Mulberry, listed as growing where this tree is, in the off-leash dog park enclosure next to some tennis courts in Stanley Park. Is that what this is? I saw no lobed leaves, but they're a very shiny fresh light green, with no obvious hairs anywhere, somewhat fitting the description for Morus alba, or are these leaves not light enough? Some of the leaves were very large, over 20cm, fitting the description of M. alba 'Macrophylla', though many leaves were also more like 10cm. There were many cordate leaves, which would fit the Morus nigra description, but also many deltoid-shaped leaves, and they were not dark green and not hairy (or did I need to look with a magnifying glass?).

    I didn't see any fruits.

I don't know mulberry at all. Is it possible to tell which this is?

Probably contorted white mulberry, 'Unryu'. Black mulberry produces non-glossy, hairy leaves.
