I have a 25 foot tree (I do not know its name) that develops black mold (similar to that on ash trees) on its branches every spring. I have cut those branches with the mold. I am wondering if someone can tell me how to prevent the mold from appearing. Thank you.

Use organic fungicides or anti-fungal spray, sealer or dressing to prevent the tree from being vulnerable. Keep your tree healthy. Good air circulation, sunny locations and reduced water contact on leaf surfaces help prevent fungi and mold growth.
