Can someone tell me what the black grey blotcheness may represent? I get this on some cultivars, and sometimes the branch dies back, sometimes not. This dissectum has also got some other bark markings which I am not sure is disease. I am not sure to cut it back or not. In either case that seems to be treating the symptoms not the problem, which I am interested it. Any thoughts?
