I have to reply same question for mulberry tree like somebody do before me.
It was planted with a hole in the ground.
I've been watering it daily but have stopped recently in case the problem is
too much water. Also, I've noticed that now the leaves on the inside are
turning yellow and falling. And I sending some pictures of tree, like buddy "lorax" is asking it may help identify the problem.

Looks like new leaves may be coming out. Next time you plant a tree use the same soil that came out of the hole to fill the hole, without adding anything. Mulch (and fertilizer, if indicated by soil test) should be applied to the surface after planting.
