Black Bamboo

Discussion in 'Poaceae' started by Unregistered, Feb 13, 2006.

  1. I've bought some shots of a very nice black bamboo. The nice part comes that it shouldn't grow more than 2 meters and 2 cm thick.

How can i find the name for that species?

ask the person you bought it from? Otherwise there is a good book on bamboo available at timber press. if you post pics of it here you may find an answer as well.

I agree with Paul. Some pictures and a bit more description - the size of the leaves, the type of branching, etc. might help someone identify it for you.
