    Help!

We have black bamboo at the end of our garden. It's been fine all winter but now, in the summer, it's started to lose a lot of it's leaves. The weather has been hot but as it's a typical English summer there's been a fair bit of rain too.

Please see the attached picture. It's got worse since this was taken.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Many kinds of broadleaf evergreens shed old, spent leaves in summer. If shedding appears excessive check for pests, such as mites. Also check soil moisture. Precipitation has either been adequate or not, bamboos generally require lush conditions to have full density and vigor.
