I planted one Bing cherry tree the start of last year but it died - planted this one fall of 2017. Was happy to see it grow leaves in the spring, and a bunch of them. The leaves look odd though (attached) compared to other trees I see around - you can see their 'veins'? The entire leaf is not solid green. I fertilized it in the spring, no blossoms, no bugs... any help would be appreciated!

Possibly lacking manganese or iron? What did you do when planting it? Did you use the on-site soil?

It's a new house/yard, the landscaper built the yard including my cherry tree - not sure of how it was planted. The concern I had was drainage as the soil doesn't seem to be draining well in the lawn... could this be caused by poor drainage as well?
