    Hello,

Was out looking for elderberry trees in the area (Kelowna, BC) when I stumbled upon this huge bush (about 6ft tall and very bushy) growing next to this very deep purple lilac.

Anyhow it's only spring but there were still some overwintered berries left on the tree which look dark black/blue. Upon breaking open the berries I found 3 larger seeds.

I took some picture of the berries and branch I picked.

I will try to get out to the same spot in the next day or two and take pictures of the bush itself.

Hopefully someone knows what this is. I have searched a few dozen berry plants with no luck.

    Thanks!

    Hey thanks for the reply.

The only thing is that I can't find any types of Cotoneaster that have dark blue/black berries.

    Any suggestions?
