I came across this big mushroom last weekend while in the outdoors. It was located in a cow pature in full sunlight in New Hampshire. Just curious to know what kind of a mushroom this is. I've seen this type of mushroom before growing in fields. If any one could help me indentify it that would be great.
Hi Phillip, Did you notice whether the under surface had pores, and if it had a stem attached to ground or wood? thanks, frog
I did take a photo of the underneath of it as best I could without disturbing the mushroom. It is attached to the ground. Not sure whether it has pores or not. I can go check it out again this afternoon and take make more photos of the underneath. Any help identifying would be great. I'm very curious to know what kind of mushroom this is. I've seen this type of mushroom before but never knew the name of it. Thank you very much your help.
