big maples in Wakehurst UK

    acer Dissectum rubrum ,Circinatum,palmatum Atropurpureum
    one very large park with many interesting species , big maples and Millennium seed bank. www.kew.org

    Interesting Alex, wonder how old the A. p. dissectum would be. Haven't seen that nice of a A. circinatum, and they are native here.

    46' tall in Seattle (before/during 2006), 62' tall in the Hoh Valley (1988). One on Vashon Island had a trunk 4'6" around (1992).

    tanks chimi !like Ron write this not is the very big ,in the park there are another Circinatum more high ,but this is (for me )the best Circinatum see..
    howevere the star in this park are Sequoia,and Pseudoplatanus purpureum....(about tree)...
