Hi - we are in Prince George, and have a very tall cedar ( no idea what kind) that is obscuring the front entrance to the house. The roots have also started to lift the asphalt in the driveway. We want to cut down the tree, but I don't want 100 new sprouts to spring up in the spring. What is the best time of year to cut down the cedar?
Cedars don't sprout, so any time. Though removing a cedar strikes me as a serious sin; why not keep the tree and re-lay the asphalt instead? It is unlikely to cost any much more.
