I've dug 50 holes in the hot Texas sun and now need to plant one gallon NATAL PLUMs for my 8 yr old daughter's birthday ( she's on vacation) because she loves natal plums. They seem to have different soil requirements. What is the best soil to plant them with? I have sandy soil. Would top soil be ok? Potting mix? 2. How fast do these plants grow?
