Hey, I recently recieved some cut flowers as a gift and have been extremely suprised at how long they've survived in a vase full of water. It's been two to three weeks and the flowers look freshly picked. I've been extremely curious as to what they are.
I'm not able to supply a picture of them, but I can describe them to the best of my ability. They are large, white bell flowers, approx. two inches in length, the lip of the flower flaring into five points at the very end. They have a main stalk, but each flower branches off the main stem onto one of it's own, it's one flower per sub stem. The stems themselves are hairy. The leaves are thin and long, tapering to a point. The flowers also fade to a pale purple at the flared lip, on the few that have wilted, the purple darkens greatly. They seem to enjoy the sunlight they can get. At the base of the flower, there is a flare of leaves mimicking the 5 points on the tip of the flower. My best guess is some kind of Campanula?
The plant itself is rather tall as well, the stalks that I have are about two feet?
