I am in zone 8A I think..first time planting seeds into pods for veg garden and wondering which ones go in now..should I soak them first? Is it still too cold at 4 c and quite cold in garage but in sunny window if we get sun..a few days of frost here and there forecast.
Hi Agnes66, when I started growing veggies from seed (though I'm still a relative newbie) I found this resource to be really helpful for timing when to plant what: http://www.westcoastseeds.com/admin/files/PlantingChartDistribution2012.pdf I feel like I keep plugging West Coast Seeds and I can assure you and the board moderators that I have no affiliation with them... I just find their catalogue so darn useful! However, note that the recommended dates in the chart are for growing on the coast, and since Hope is inland a bit I'm guessing the dates may need to shift slightly. So you could use the chart as a starting point but then ask your neighbours or other people shopping at the garden store (or better yet, maybe someone on this board lives in Hope and will tell you) what veggies they sow/start and when.
