I took these pics 4 years ago today. I'd like to know the name of this fungus but couldn't find any matches online. Can anyone identify this for me?
It was growing on a fallen tree near a stream which cuts through a ravine in North Vancouver B.C. (Wagg Creek, Mahon Park). Perhaps the tree is a birch? There are also maple and alder in the area.

@Gwen Miller I think this looks like Chondrostereum sp. I'm not an expert in fungi but this looks similar to one on a neighbour's Birch tree a few years ago. If correct, I believe it is related to Silverleaf disease.

Thanks, Derek! I'm so pleased to be able to label it. It certainly looks like the pictures online. It is lovely - looks like it's wearing an ermine stole on the edges.
