BCIT shrub with 3" blooms

    Plant ID?
    The shrub attached, about 4' high and 10' wide, is currently in bloom with ~3" flowers at BCIT between the library and gym. Can anyone ID it?

    It's blooming heavily all over town right now. Seems to be a good year for it. Several colours--white, pink>red(ish), blue>violet--often with a dark centre.
