    Hi Everybody!

I have here a new thread about a pest which will eat the inside of a banana tree in about 2 days; It looks like a giant 'apple sawfly', about 35 mm long in the photo. Then of course the tree will rot and die.

Does anybody know how to prevent it from attacking banana trees?

I have attached photos of banana & maggot. I belive that the banana is a 'plantain' which is quite common here in Thailand. It is a shorter, fatter & sweeter one. Unlike the ones from the Canaries which is usual to supermarkets all over the world.
