I live in White Rock and a friend of mine has a Banana plant that's been growing for 3 or so years and is about 12-15 feet tall and it has just recently began to grow fruit . Neither he nor I know what type of banana plant it is, sadly. What I was wondering is, how tall, on average would another banana plant be if it was grown in a more tropical area, and how soon would it have grown fruits? As well, could the typical weather of this area have effected it's growth?
    thanks in advance

The ultimate height of a banana tree depends on the variety.
Given its location I doubt it is Musa cavendish, but it could be M. acuminata 'Dwarf Cavendish'
