Hello All, I recently moved into a new condo in Vancouver and was looking to add some bamboo to my balcony. It will be potted, and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what type of bamboo should be used, and any tips on how to pot it (ie. big pot, little pot, etc.). I am very new to gardening so I apologize for the simple nature of my question, but I have had good luck with the folks on here before so I figure'd I'd try it.
You'll need to use an extra hardy kind like a Fargesia to be sure of getting it through the winter, up in the air, in a planter. Look for a specimen that appeals and then find a pot that is big enough for it.
