Back in Ecuador around 3000 m

    Here are a couple of flowers that I would appreciate some help with. For anyone familiar with the region, they are from the Quilotoa area. Thanks for your ideas...

    I'm sorry no-one is identifying these. I'm just going to mention three websites that could be helpful, though they're not working for me. I think better answers than I'm giving to the questions for the first one would help. And then having some family ideas would help with the next one. The third has lots of photos.

    Many thanks Wendy and Clent. Wendy your sites are very interesting and should be a great source of ideas and inspiration. Clent I like your suggestion of Verbena gooddingi.
    I have found elsewhere that the right hand flower is Lamourouxia virgata (a hemi-parasitic Orobanchaceae). So perhaps the case is closed?

    Clent, I'm sorry to say that I have no ideas about your own problem plant.
