I just planted a few Azaleas two weeks ago. When I walked down to them, I found one had been eaten all the way down to the ground and others with cuttings laying on the ground around them. I have a lot of Azaleas and have never had this happen. I do not think it is the worm others have talked about. Any help will be appreciated! They are only about 8 inches to a foot high Thank you very much!

Deer eat azaleas, but I've never seen them to eat the woody stems...
    Can you provide a photograph?
The stems laying on the ground suggests possibly voles eating the roots...
