I am attempting to grow avocados in doors to start. I currently live in Nanaimo. So far I have had 13 sets of new leaves on my plant. All of which have turned brown at the tips and worked all the way back until the entire leaf has turned brown and died. The plant gets full sun during the day kept warm during the nights. Why can't I keep a set of leaves on this plant. One last thing I started this plant from seed.

Hello, and welcome to the forum. :)
To keep it warm at night means you heat your house through the night? This far north our winter heating makes the houses very dry, even with minimal heating, and these tropical plants suffer with the low humidity. Sometimes a cooler room (with good light) can raise the humidity a little. Many people that like houseplants have installed whole-house humidifiers. They keep the air balanced all year long, and it's more comfortable too.

thank you for a responce, I'll put a basin with water in the room turn the heat down a touch and leave the light on. Hopefuly this will help the situation.
