Hello! I was given some plants and trees, including this avocado tree. It seems to want to grow indefinitely long and tall without producing any branches or side shoots and with no leaf growth on the bottom. See picture - the plant is about two feet tall now. I'm afraid if I don't do anything it'll grow to be a flimsy, scrawny tree. I was thinking about pruning it, but I know nothing of pruning. I just repotted this tree yesterday, using micorhise mixed into the soil. Should I wait before pruning this plant? If so, how long? But mostly, like I said, I don't know the first thing about pruning. Any step by step advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much, beautiful people!
