    Hi everyone, I'm new :)

I'm growing an avocado. I put the pit in a glass of water and when the roots started to come out they got covered in little "bubbles" that got bigger now (I attached a picture). A smaller plant in the next glass got them too now. Is it a parasite? What should I do?

    Thanks :)

Have you tried jostling the glass to see if they're gas bubbles?

They aren't, they're growing on the roots...

My guess would be that they're more roots, then.

My first plant didn't have them... This one did from the start. But a few days ago they spread to the newest one and that's when I thought something might be wrong.

How can I make sure they're roots and not a parasite of some sort? I did a google search, but couldn't find anyhting. Do you know if there are any in-depth resources about avocados? All I can find is generic info, so I'm really glad to have found this forum.

Ok, so I asked an expert on allexperts.com and they told me those bumps are harmless nodules, so the plants are fine!
I thought I'd post this update so that if anyone ever gets here because of the same issue they can know it's nothing to worry about :)

    Wishing everyone a great day
