ok .... I got this rather strange problem with my Avocado plant ... had it for about 2 years now but last year it grew funny ... I wasn’t paying enough attention to it because I was working graveyards so I was ether at work ... or asleep and I kinda let it do its own thing .... anyways its hard to explain so I will just show you

as you can see ... its sorta grown ... rather oddly I didn’t even know plants could do 90 degree angles like that .... anyways I am hoping to figure out how to fix it ... and maybe have it grow some leaves on its lower area since its getting realy top heavy .. I am not willing to give up on it ether btw I don’t give up on my plants till they turn to dried husks and and I wanna avoid that.

ooo and this is a shot of the pot ... might add some explanation to its weird growth IDK

I don't know much about growing avocados, but the plant looks like it was trying to grow toward a light source coming in from a side angle. I think avocados need a lot of light and heat to grow well.

One way to test if the plant if following a light source is to simply change the plants position while in the same location. Like instead of having the plant point to the "left" turn it so it points to the "right". If the plant is bending to catch some rays, then the plant will readjust to the newly changed position and start to stretch in the opposite direction.

The "catching rays" experiment takes a while to see if it is true or not, so don't rush it give it a few weeks especially if it has been in this position for a long, long time.

Try it out and let us know what's happening. The overall appearance looks good otherwise.

P.S....Or maybe it is just trying to get more attention!! ;)
