I have an 8 foot avacado tree in my living room that I started from a seed. I also have another one of a different type (not sure what kind, but it was a giant avacado seed) approximately 4 1/2 feet tall. Is there any chance they will ever have fruit? Will they fruit in the house? The tallest one has already branched out after I cut about 3 feet off the top and has now grown to 8 feet. Sure could use some information. Thanks, Bev in Keno, Oregon

Very difficult to get avocados to fruit indoors, as they don't fruit until quite large and mature, more like 8 metres tall than 8 feet.

If you want to grow indoor tropical fruit, guava has a reputation for being easier than most to get fruit on.

Yes, I would second Michael on the difficulty of fruiting avocado trees indoors. However, congratulations on the size and (I assume) health of your trees.
