I have two avacado trees, one a Mexican avacado and the other I am not sure. Both are experiencing a browning of the leaves. Too much water? Not enough water? Is it normal for the leaves to turn or is there some other factor involved?

It might be insufficient water and or salts from ocean spray or salts in your water. How much do you water your trees?

Well, it could be one or more of a number of reasons. Need more information! Offhand I'd say not enough water.
