Here is my daughters Wilson's pink dwarf from this morning. Its doing quite nicely even though it's weighted down with slate chippings and I would like to paint the fence black, but that's for another moan, Lol.
Here’s Autum Aoyagi..more filamented than I’ve previously noticed..and 2020 new addition to the garden Japonicum Attaryi..cannot wait for this one to grow out
@dicky5ash I love Aoyagi, it is one of the greens that has such a wonderful soft Autumnal colour. Very envious of your Attaryi R, such magical colours.
@dicky5ash, yes it does R. They are gradually building quite a collection. Think they have the bug like the rest of us, Lol.
Here are a few snakebark (Sec Macrantha) maples. Acer x conspicuum 'Silver Vein' Acer micranthum 'Candelabrum' Acer capillipes 'Golden Increase' Acer rufinerve 'Albolimbatum' And a few leaves of the always lovely A. sinense
Woww..lovely...mines dropped all bar a few leaves..hence the single leaf photo..strange the variation all over this year
Great photos, and trees in particular I like the Acer rufinerve 'Albolimbatum, contrast provided by the fir..some length and girth contest going on lol
Hello everyone one. It's been a while since I've had time to post anything. I've find two trees in my yard with/starting fall color. A dissectum that was damaged a few years ago in a storm. It's coming back nicely. My young 'Garnet'
@LoverOfMaples good morning D and glad to see you back, you have been missed. I know it was damaged but doesn't it have great character. I do like maples with a history!! However difficult. A pretty Garnet as well, lovley!!
Lovely as always E, can I ask about your labels, very interesting to see you have screwed them into tbe bark. Any harm at all ?
Good morning, here are a few taken minutes ago in my garden as the sun breaks through the clouds. Lots of varying colours now as Autumn progresses rather fast all of a sudden it seems.
Just a little bit of fall colour here with Aconitifolium, Fairy light and Sango kaku. Most have not turned yet but the winds are picking up this week so hopefully some leaves remain.
The wind is picking up here as well M. So take the photos whilst we can. 3 lovely maples from you, Fairy light is my wife's favourite, so thankyou from her.
Hi D, actually it's a nail and spring. All stainless. This one is missing a stainless washer between the spring and tree, which I started using later. It's a standard arboretum method (IIRC they do this at Kew) that doesn't damage the tree as it grows, IF you keep the nail pulled enough so the spring hasn't too much tension. If you forget, the tree grows around the spring (or washer) and can cause a bit of damage. So it does take a little looking after. The label itself is a piece of zinc cut from commercial sewer flashing. :) -E
A little bit' breezy' up north at the minute D , think quite a lot will be bare come the weekend, thankfully though i took quite a lot of pictures yesterday and will load them up later.
