August 16, 2013 - two favourites of bees, and other flowers

    We posted Rhus copallinum, winged sumac, but not the flowers. There were lots of bees on these flowers.

    But the Cardoons, Cynara cardunculus, were the hot spot for the bees.

    It doesn't seem that we posted the flowers on the Lagerstroemia subcostata Var. fauriei, in full bloom now.

    Also in full bloom is the Euonymus carnosus, and I don't think we've posted these flowers either.

    I posted the Koelreuteria paniculata outside the Reception Centre at least twice; now finally, the one in the North Garden is in full bloom.
