hello .. can someone tell me what's happening with this plant? .. i'm thinking it is the result of cold, as i read somewhere that the aucuba have a tendancy to go brown with cold .. hmmm .. it almost looks like a black spot to me .. anyway, i would appreciate finding out ..

    thanks

Too much sun. Notice the fading and puckering on the leaves around the burnt spots. This is a full shade shrub.

yes! that makes sense, as this shrub is surviving on the northwest corner of the house, and gets a lot of afternoon sun .. i know these to be shade loving, and am surprised at how well it does where it is .. thank you so much, i'll remember this next time i run across it .. i'm not sure whether or not i could convince the owner to move it .. maybe ..
